Instagram Actions

Out of all the social networking websites, I like to share my life best with my Instagram. Im constantly texting my friends photos of random objects and occurances throughout my day anyway and this just helps me keep a collection. If you ever want to add the same effects to your old photos and photos from your camers, check out these Photoshop Actions you can download that look just like the app’s! Heres an example of where Im going with this…

My beautiful sister Briana took these photographs of my beautiful sister Marissa while they were both in London last week. So Jealous! But I love the feel of these pictures, so I used the Earlybird Photoshop Action to add an even cooler effect.

Download them, and Have fun with it! Oh, and p.s. the original creator of these photo actions just scored $1 Billion Dollars…just sayin.

arts & rec

I think its awesome when you can look at a design firm’s graphic style and determine their location. My family and I took a trip to Austin, Texas this past summer to check out Grad School at UT (gorgeous by the way) and the city is awesome! I came across Arts and Recreation and immediately felt a Southern//Texas vibe to their projects … partly from the feel I got in Austin and partly because they’ve done graphic design for the epic BBQ joint Stubbs! Check out what they did for the Design+Build company Big Red Sun…

More goodies from Arts & Recreation. Remind you of Texas? The name makes me think of Leslie Knope, so I like it even more.

HEY body

As you know, Im quite a fan of the infographic, and these ones present a real bang! With “HEY body”, Vivi Feng uses the art of kirigami as a way of creating graphics for young teens to teach them important facts about their bodies. Through themes such as element, thought, sense, speed, and reaction, she exceeds visual success with 3 dimensional graphics and lessons to remember.

My favorite is her presentation of life’s “pressure”…not just the color but the messages too! Check out the rest of the project photos here.

Time for Tea

New obsession, Tea Time Studio. Its Sebastián Litmanovich’s life work into one company. Originally from Buenos Aires, he now resides with his studio in London since 2010. He started out as co-founder for Krovha Creative Studio and went on to create Tea Time back in 2002. He’s deeply involved in each project which include graphic design, music, and video production for records and music promotion.

I literally enjoy every project this company has done, love the whimsical illustrations, the delicate color palette, the subtleties in each piece. I want to print out a few and buy vintage frames in various shapes and sizes! What do you think?
